:: Hand embroidered in India by underprivileged artisan women with the goal of being self-reliant.  The embroidery from the Gujarat region in India forms an intrinsic part of the lives of peasants and nomadic tribes.  The various communities have their own styles of embroidery. Each piece is a work of intricate art created by the artisan. Embroidery threads create more than patterns for these communities; they are their assets.
