We are so excited and proud to now carry the Alabama Chanin line. I have followed Natalie Chanin's work since her early days of Project Alabama and have been a huge fan, to put it mildly. Serendipity intervened earlier this year and I viewed this year's collections in a sweet, sunlit loft in Alphabet City. The designs are a stunning array of color, texture, and hand-stitched works of art. Each piece is stitched by hand by local Alabama artisans; men and women aged 25 to 80. Literally every stitch is made by someone's hand, thereby working to preserve the American traditions of quilting and craftsmanship. The workers set their own fees for each garment, work from the location of their choice and personally invest in the garment. Each garment is made from 100% certified organic cotton grown in the USA, hand signed and numbered.
